ABOUT RAM / OSLO

Who We Are

RAM / Oslo, is a multidisciplinary gallery focusing on the intersection between contemporary art, craft and design. RAM aims to be a platform for emerging and mid-career artists and makers from Scandinavia and beyond. The exhibition program features 6-8 exhibitions yearly, as well as a great number of temporary events such as artist talks, performances, lectures and art fair participation.

RAM was founded in 1989 as a joint project of the Norwegian Association for Arts & Crafts, Norwegian Association of Photographers, Norwegian Textile Artists Union and Public Arts Norway. In 2015 RAM was reformed and became an independent self-governing institution. The board is appointed by the Norwegian Association for Arts & Crafts (NK) and Norwegian Textile Artists Union (NTK). RAM receives support from the Norwegian Association for Arts & Crafts, Arts Council Norway and Oslo City Council.
