8 May – 7 June
RAM is proud to present two new exhibitions with ceramic art of international scope. Wisam Al-Samad (b. 1968, Iraq) is acknowledged as a great innovator of Middle-Eastern ceramic art, whose work bridges ancient traditions with Western Modernist influences. Al-Samad is also renowned for his pedagogic approach and efforts to share his knowledge with new generations.
Sam Chatto (b. 1996, United Kingdom) offers a revindication of ceramic master traditions from both Europe and Asia, having trained in Kyoto. A studio residency at Senter for keramisk kunst in Ringebu in 2024 resulted in a series of sculptural works that will be exhibited for the first time at RAM.
