About Ram

kart til hjemmesidenRAM gallery is an exhibition space for arts and crafts, visual art, and architecture that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries. It is funded by an annual grant from the Ministry of Culture.

RAM emphasizes artistic popularization and wishes to be a low-threshold meeting place for all types of audience.

The gallery was founded in 1989 by the Society of Fine Art Photographers, KORO, Norwegian Textile Artists, and Norwegian Arts and Crafts Workers. The latter three organizations are still represented on the gallery’s board of directors, but do not support its operation financially.

Opening hours: Tuesday - Friday 11 a.m. to 5  p.m.; Saturday - Sunday 12 noon to 4 p.m.

The gallery chooses exhibitors in general on its own initiative, but it also considers individual applications to a very limited number of open viewing sessions. Projects and displays must be adapted to fit the specific setting of RAM gallery.

To apply for exhibition space, please submit:

- curriculum vitae

- 10 pictures of work (if this is a relevant medium)
- 1-2 page description of project
- return postage (if submitted by regular mail)

Applications are considered once a year. To be included in the next assessment round, applications must be received by 15 Feb 2014.
