The invitation for the construction of a book with an already decided title and material can not be such an exciting project. Actually the restrictions of a frame like that can be destructive. Something we had to forget the moment we started our dialogue. And this dialogue unfolded both in a literally and visual way. The dialogues then became narrations which developed into a bigger dialogue outside our own microcosmos. It became a dialogue between the White Cube and the Inventors, a dialogue that is constantly changing. Like cinematic frames. The light, the body, the camera, the photographer, the film, us, the exhibition, the theme, the book. The roles were not always defined. On the contrary they were blending, shifting and transforming. Something like, a constant chase between us and the White Cube. Hide and seek. With a book as the only tangible communication. As that we presented it as only an attempt to catch a glimpse of the White Cube’s endless transformation. This is our attempt and we invite you to interpret and participate in the further transformation of the White Cube.
