Curator statement

Invitation / order:
Each of you is given a unique piece of paper the size about 140 x 207mm. Each unique paper consists of two differently structured unique pages. The unique piece of paper with its two unique structured pages is your raw material from which you are kindly asked to manufacture a sales-product for the above-mentioned exhibition.

Product specifications:
The raw material given to you is considered to be of a certain value. Your aim could be not to destroy this value but to:
- purify it through the act of manufacturing
- increase it through the act of manufacturing
- or keep it the way it is but through the act of manufacturing.

Manufacture is a 11 letter word and starts with M.

[n] the organized action of making of goods and services for sale; "American industry is making increased
use of computers to control production"
[n] the act of making something (a product) from raw materials
[v] make up something artificial or untrue
[v] put together out of components or parts; "Ford makes cars"; "They manufacture small toys"
(hyperdictionary.com)

In any case, your product is manufactured for the purpose to become an important part of the attempt to explode/implode the white cube. Your product will be constructed into the white cube and hence becomes part of it through the act of construction. A group of four fitters, construction workers or assemblers (Norwegian; montører) will do the construction work at the site.

Delivery specifications:
- Your product can be delivered by you and not later then on Wednesday December 2nd at 17:00 hours to the following address: RAM Galleri, Kongens gate 3, 0153 Oslo.
- With your product you may deliver a written and precise description on how you want your work to be constructed into the white cube – the material and tools to construct your product into the white cube are considered being a part of your product and hence can be delivered by you and together with your product. A short Bio of yours can be integrated in that description text.

- When you deliver your product you are kindly asked to sign a delivery form (release from) that makes the RAM Gallery the righteous owner of your product (including the written montage-description and product specifications) and hence is entitled to sell the product once it is constructed into the white cube.

Rewards taken and given:
Your manufacturing of a dream will partake in a larger construction attempting to explode/implode the white cube. The larger construction will be part of a salesexhibition which income is to be used for the making of a book with CD and DVD. Your manufactured dream will be an important part to make that book happen – and it will be an important part of the book’s content. Your work will be credited to you!
